Youth Volunteerism Project

The purpose of these workshops is to help youth volunteers become better prepared for the volunteering experience. It will explain to the participants what volunteering is all about and what personal benefits they can achieve through volunteering while contributing to their community in a positive way.

The objectives for these workshops are:

• To assist in identifying appropriate volunteer opportunities in the community.
• To assist students in accessing community organizations and volunteer opportunities.
• To assist teachers in exploring learning opportunities for youth volunteers.
• To provide resources to help teachers understand how to make volunteer experiences beneficial for students.

The workshops are available for schools and youth groups. They can be arranged for times and dates that will suit your needs. If you have questions about the workshop, call our office at 780-459-6666 and ask to speak with Pat.
