Do you have some time to share each week with an individual in need of some companionship? Share your gift of listening and good conversation as you visit the client in their home. Choose from one of the following one-on-one opportunities - - visiting with an adult individual who immigrated from Egypt, reading to her, teaching her new board games and doing simple crafts; client speaks English well. Other opportunity is visiting with a housebound senior helping her to bake, as well as perhaps help with needlework and knitting.
If you enjoy books and reading, and would enjoy bringing that pleasure to seniors in our community, this opportunity will interest you. In this role, you will provide outreach library services to seniors who are residents of a Senior Care Centre in St. Albert.
