Following are brief descriptions of some of the positions we have available at CIVC.
Providing input and direction for the governance of the agency on this board of 6 to 10 people. Term of office is three years.
Help community callers link with local service providers. Responsibilities include answering phones, working with an internet database to research information enquiries and communicating information to callers. Some light office duties may also be required.
Assist potential volunteers with identifying appropriate volunteer placements in the community. This involves personal meetings with potential volunteers and/or providing support and information over the phone and referring volunteers to agencies of interest. May also include follow-ups with volunteers who have been referred to ensure appropriate and rewarding volunteer placements.
A child/volunteer mentoring program. Sidekicks has several volunteer opportunities to choose from.
Working with an internet database, collect current information from Agency contacts through phone calls and/or email and enter the information into the database.
Assist with maintenance of over 1000 pamphlets focused on community services. Includes ordering pamphlets, recommending appropriate materials, and maintaining inventory.
Providing support to CIVC programs in administering the collection of data regarding the outcomes we are trying to achieve.

Assisting with the implementation of various special events throughout the year. |
Writing and distribution public service announcements to local media. Promoting the services of the CIVC through various means.
