About the Course

• Alberta Safety Council's Babysitters' Safety Program
• administered by a trained instructor

The course includes:

role-playing group interaction video presentations student research a final examination

3 consecutive Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 4th Saturday which is the exam from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Summer Courses run 3 consecutive weekdays Check the schedule to find dates that suit your needs

There are seven lessons: The Role of the Babysitter Child Development Caring for Children Positive Behaviour Management Home Safety and Injury Prevention Fire Safety First Aid

Who Can Take the Course Children should be at least 11 1/2 years of age

What Mark is Required to Pass the Test? a passing mark is 70%

And After Passing?

After certification, children (who are 12 years of age or older) may place their names on our free babysitting referral service list (with parents' permission).

How Much Does the course Cost?

The $45 fee includes a workbook and course materials.

St. Albert Community Information and Volunteer Centre 10 - 215 Carnegie Drive St. Albert, AB Use the main door which faces towards Campbell Road for entry. There is a button beside the door to push to announce you are there.
